Biography: Tingzhong Yang, MD, Distinguished Prof of Children's Hospital / Prof and Director, Center for Tobacco Control Research, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, China. Dr. Yang is a member, the expert group of National Association on Tobacco Control, and review committee for science and technology awards of National Education Ministry and Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, and an external faculty affiliate of Injury Control Research, West Virginal University, U.S. He also was an advisor for the World Health Organization in delivering policy and program on tobacco control to health professions students, and served as an expert in updating CRDs section in the WHO Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs 2013-2020. His primary academic focus is health behavior, and research interests are in tobacco control. The Series of projects of “tobacco control advocacy capacity” covered all provinces in China, including more than 70 cities, which was  officially reported by the World Health Organization. In recent years he published more than 70 international papers. Several papers were cited by WHO report on the global tobacco epidemic, and other official documents. Core information of “Global Health Professions Student Survey (GHPSS) in Tobacco Control in China “was released by the United Nations. Dr. Yang s research on tobacco control has been selected one of the Research Highlights of the University at the celebration of the 120th anniversary of Zhejiang University.

Ching-Liang Hsieh

Biography : Ching-Liang Hsieh graduated from the School of Chinese Medicine, China Medical University (CMU), Taichung City, Taiwan, in 1978 with a Bachelor of Medicine. He is licensed in both Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Currently a professor, the director of the Center for Clinical Trials in Chinese Medicine, and an attending physician at CMU Hospital in Taichung. Professor Hsieh has two PhD degrees: one from Kyushu University, Japan (1995), and one from Guangzhou Chinese Medicine University, China (2004). He was previously Vice Dean of College of Chinese Medicine, the director of the School of Chinese Medicine, Graduate Institute of Chinese Medical Science, Acupuncture Science, International Master Course of Acupuncture, Research Center for Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Acupuncture Research Center at CMU; deputy superintendent at CMU Hospital; and professor at Chang Gung University. He has published more than 200 papers.

Xiaodong Ma

Biography: Prof. Ma received his Ph. D. in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry from Fudan University in Shanghai, China, in 2012. During that time, he synthesized a great number of HIV-1 inhibitors, and discovered several promising HIV clinical candidates. After working as a chemical R& D engineer in Petro China Co. Ltd. for two years, he became an assistant Professor at Dalian Medical University, China, in 2014. His current research mainly concentrates on the general areas of medicinal chemistry, drug discovery and development, and mechanistic enzymology, with primary efforts on the structure-based design of antiviral and anticancer agents. Until now, he has designed and synthesized a great number of pyrimidine and pyrimidine fused hetercycles as potential HIV-1 RT, EGFRT790M, BTK, JAK3, FAK etc, inhibitors.

Since 2017 he has been a full lecturer in analytical chemistry at the Jiangxi Key Laboratory for Mass Spectrometry and Instrumentation, East China University of Technology. Zheng Qiusheng

Biography: Zheng Qiusheng obtained his Diploma in biology/cell biology from Lanzhou University, China. He then conducted post-doctoral research at Beijing University, China. He was very interested in studying and understanding mechanisms that Cardio-cerebrovascular protection by Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as well as the tumour growth inhibition induced by natural products. Since 2006, he served as director of the Key Laboratory of Xinjiang Endemic Phytomedicine Resources, Ministry of Chinese Education, which allowed him to set up his own team. In 2006, he was selected by the ministry of education in the new century excellent talents support program.
